Stroll along “Nichigin Street” in Otaru

Nichigin Street, adjacent to the Authent Hotel Otaru, was the center of Hokkaido’s economy from the Meiji era onward, when many banks were built. Historically important buildings of Otaru are still preserved as they were in those days. The buildings are open to the public as a museum and archive.

There is also a bus terminal nearby. For a slightly longer trip, take a bus to Otaru Tengu Yama or Shukutsu.
