Ghost Town Sakaimachi
“Ghost Town Sakaimachi” is a Halloween event held in Otaru’s Sakaimachi Shopping Street.
“Sakaimachi Shopping Street” is a famous tourist spot in Otaru. It is home to stores that are particularly popular with tourists, such as “Kitaichi Glass,” “Taisho Glass,” “Otaru Music Box Museum,” and “LeTAO.”
At “Ghost Town Sakaimachi,” the shopping street staff will dress up as zombies and witches to welcome tourists. There will also be limited-edition Halloween menus. There will also be many photo spots, such as a giant Jack-o’-lantern statue, that are perfect for taking photos.
Enjoy a slightly different, spooky side to Otaru than the usual “Sakaimachi Shopping Street”!
