Blue Canal
The illuminations of the Otaru Canal are an essential sight in Otaru. Every year many tourists visit to enjoy the romantic night view of the Otaru Canal.
In particular, the “Blue Canal” event, held in winter, covers the entire Otaru Canal in blue illuminations. The white snow and the blue light reflected on the surface of the canal create a beautiful harmony.
